Happy belated Valentine's Day!
Ours was lovely...we celebrated on Tuesday night (which was the 7th anniversary of our first date ever) with a dinner out at Milestones, while the kids enjoyed having their first non-grandparent babysitter. I'm afraid Carly took a bit of abuse, but she didn't seem to mind (0: She was their own personal jungle gym. Thanks Carly! Milestones has been in our 'bad books' for a few years, since the last time we were there Nu's meat portion was really not sufficient for him! haha. We had a coupon, so we decided to try it again, and this time we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and Nu actually came very close to not being able to finish his meat. So it is now back in our 'good books'. We had the spinach and artichoke dip (yumm), portobello mushroom chicken and prime rib, then a white chocolate cheesecake for dessert - which was, shockingly, too sweet for me! And we had such good conversation remembering all of the dates we've been on in 7 years. Good times.
On Tuesday, the kids went to Cosco with Mom while I was working. She told me that when they got there Lesina took off her coat, saying "I need to show everyone my beautiful dress." Anybody know any good stories illustrating the idea of vanity? Heehee. She's such a girly girl, I love it. The Moose has been up to his usual antics too...this morning we were making valentine's heart cookies, and he had been told no repeatedly but managed to reach up onto the counter just enough to pick one off the plate. Boys and food, I tell you.
Nu's back has been really bugging him for a few days, far more than usual. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't brought on by rugby, heavy lifting or volleyball, but by a rare vacuuming expedition. And that's going to hurt my chances of getting that to happen again!
As for me, I am counting down the days til Spring. I've really had enough of this gray, dreary, wet weather, and I want to see my garden coming to life again and get outside! It's driving me crazy! I had my first midwives appointment yesterday as well and found out my new due date is September 23. Also, my blood pressure was high yesterday, which could be attributed to a busy, stressful, rushed day, or could be a sign that I need to take better care of myself. More likely a combination of the two. So you can pray for that.

I know, you both need to hire a maid! No more vacuuming for either of you from now on...just rest.
