Finally!

Tomasi's "Popeye face"

Kisses...which often turn into squeezes

The rock garden is coming along. It's amazing how fast sedums spread.

8 months old!

Could you say "No" to this face? What a character!

Lately. I haven't had the blogging inspiration. But the guilt of not updating for so long has driven me to update with a few pictures. It goes without saying that life has been busy. Always, right?
Here's what's up...
Tomasi is working on tooth #5 and 6, and we are FEELING the pain. Yikes.
It was bad enough that Nu actually got up to help last night.
Matalena is a lot of fun right now. Her favorite things to do are ballet and duck duck goose. She might end up being a lawyer or a professer of something based on the long diatribes she's been giving me lately, about the puppy named Pepe and the instructions on shooting a basketball. Funny girl, she is!
Mekaia is shocking us with his growing maturity. He gets into awesome "cleaning modes" where he tidies several rooms of the house on his own initiative. It's great. He also gets into "pestering modes" where he does everything and anything to annoy his sisters...all with a mischievious grin on his face. Lesina is enjoying her life as a "tomboy", attempting to climb trees, refusing to wear skirts and dresses (most of the time) and talking about race cars and other things she thinks boys like. I am having a difficult time with convincing her that things like not brushing her hair and being messy are not a part of being a tomboy though. Also, if anyone has any advice for teaching a child who gets distracted all the time and does everything except the task she was given to be responsible, it would be greatly appreciated.
We've been having some fun as a family lately...we went to Mission swimming pool with everybody on Sunday. I especially enjoyed the waterslide. It proved to be quite the challenge to keep an eye on everybody at the same time, but we all came out alright. Yesterday I took the kids to the church parking lot across the street where we had a GREAT time playing street hockey and basketball in the wide open space. I'm looking forward to the nicer weather coming so we can get started on my list of Fun Summer Outings.
Nu has been working, really hard. Saturdays he has had a lot of volleyball tournaments, or has been working at his boss's place or at home (he brought me a truckload of dirt for the gardens for mother's day...best gift ever...but I know some of you will disagree!) I turned 31 a little over a week ago, and he planned a very romantic date for us. Dinner overlooking the ocean, and a walk along the pier. Made for a great birthday.
As for me, I've been good. Out in the garden of course. A group of 12 ladies from church (http://abbotsfordvineyard.com/) have just started a Bible Study on the disciplines of prayer, bible reading and fasting which I'm a part of and it is so great to have support, accountability and inspiration to continue growing rather than stagnating! Other than that I'm basically just going day to day, trying to get everything done that needs to be done, and hoping to have some time for the extra stuff. That's life right now.
God is good!
