Finally, after 9 years (or more) of trying to succeed in surprising Nu (a) with something that he actually likes (b) without him finding out, I pulled it off!
We went away for the night to the very tropical and exotic location of White Rock. We had dinner at the Boathouse, and then I put up with a lot of whining and complaining about meandering through sidestreets and up crazy hills. He had no idea where we were going, and he was a little bit upset about my erratic driving and lack of direction. Ha! Then we arrived at our cute B&B with a gorgeous view of the water and it was all worth it. Thanks for watching all the kids Mom and Dad, especially our night-owl baby. It was so nice to get away.
