It's been awhile!
Our computer has been to computer-hospital and back again, and though we're still working out some minor things (which explains the lack of pictures today) it is WORKING again! I highly recommend our computer-man, Barinder, (for those of you MEIites, Preet's hubby) for he has taken our piece of junk computer and made it smart again! His business is RationalBusiness Systems, and I will gladly email the number to anyone having computer issues. He's just starting up, but he really knows what he's doing.
Hmmmmm, where to start. I guess you're going to get random little tidbits today as I'm short on time. We've been busily getting ready for Christmas, with lots of events in the last couple of weeks. We got our Christmas tree last weekend, and have created an elaborate barricade by rearranging our entire living room that has so far been successful in keeping the tree in one piece, and my little moose away from it!
Last week was a whirlwind of activity with me going out to two ladies' teas, a lovely day in Vancouver with Rhonda and Preet, and a shopping extravaganza to Willowbrook (more accurately known as ToysRUs) and to see Cheri for a haircut. A fun me-day. This week our church had it's Christmas party, which was fun, but a little chaotic managing the kids. I'm seriously considering bringing the double stroller to the next one. The highlight for me was seeing the little ladybird in her first Christmas performance! Earlier in the day, she had her first really fancy hairdo; we put her hair up high on her head, and then curled it all in ringlets. She looked adorable of course (0: Her class of 2-3 year olds was singing Twinkle Twinkle, and I knew she knew it perfectly. She's been belting it out at the top of her lungs when we practice at home. I was curious how she would react to an actual 'performance' in front of lots of people.
So the little people started their song a little bit quicker than was in their ability...it was mainly the teachers singing, and the kids were looking like, what? we've started? Our little princess was not to be denied her big moment that she'd been practicing for! She started about 5 seconds after everyone else, nice and loud like we'd practiced, making her voice distinct above the others! People were laughing, and I was beaming. So proud! She sang beautifully to my ears, and she wasn't stage shy! Yay! Someone remarked later that she was right on pitch too! I don't think she gets that from me! haha. A memorable first Christmas concert.
