update

we find him like this several times a day...he's managed to learn to climb up unharmed and he loves playing (banging) the notes, he even turns the pages of the music now and then...only problem is once he's up, he can't get down!
Anne of Blue Gables

i have been incredibly lazy in the blogging world.

today seems to be the day to get things done, and having already swept the floor, cleaned 2 bathrooms, done the dishes, done the laundry, cleaned up several messes, changed the ladybird 3 times due to various accidents, and having managed to make my son sleepy enough to fall asleep on the couch (this does NOT happen around here) I decided to add blogging to the list.
First of all a shout-out to fellow blogger Leah, whom I got to see in person yesterday...that was so sweet that Brody and Mekaia got to play together in nursery! He's too cute. Hopefully he didn't get whapped by my son, who has taken to hitting things if he finds the appropriate weapon (around here it's a toy frying pan or plastic bowling pin usually--very dangerous). Hopefully we'll see you guys again (0:
We had a Samoan toana'i (really really big feast) yesterday afternoon with the Samoan community of the Fraser Valley (and Northern Washington). There were 6 Samoan guys and their wives, children and girlfriends all there. The 7th one didn't show up and that was SERIOUS because he was supposed to bring the taro (giant root-like starch that is similar to but better than a potato)! I think it's the first toana'i I've been to with no taro. Very sad. The guys got their bonding time in with lots of laughter, loudness, music and jokes, and the ladies tried to manage the herds of children (11 in all) and enjoyed each others' company too. It was great fun.
In other news, I am waiting very UNpatiently for my sister to have her baby!!!!
And I believe I felt mine moving around for the first time this morning!!!

So glad to see a post from you again. I was hoping it was not pregnacy sickness (I think morning sickness is a misnomer) that was keeping you from blogging. Yay for baby movements! That is the thing I miss the most about being pregnant. And I am likewise waiting very impatiently for your sister to have her baby - hehehe!
Take care,
Christa

That's IM-patiently, teacher, and I LOVE the red braids, really brings out the Dutch in Lesina. And isn't that a good thing when 1 year olds are stuck on a bench and can't get down? So cute!

So you've got butterflies already? Congrats! It's a sign. Yep. The new cousin is being welcomed into the world...yep, it's tonight. Maybe...

I can't believe the root-like starch man didn't show up for the festivities. You mean, he didn't phone or anything? How disappointing for you all. Glad you were able to have fun anyways.

Well, soon your cutie pies will have a new cousin...how exciting....come on Sue...hurry up!

Man, cute kids! The feast sounds great, but I am not a fan of Taro root, so that would not have bothered me.
Glad to know the little new one is making itself known for you.
Take Care

that is so funny because Brody does the same thing! He is always getting wrestled with, and so has turned into quite the litle toughie!
Was nice to see you too!
