Thanks for the great comments re. Halloween on my earlier post...please keep them coming, it's really helpful for me in thinking about how I want to address this holiday.
Well, it is Halloween today, and it sure did turn out to be a SCARY morning. Today was my first day available for subbing. And after 3 weeks or so of peaceful night-sleeping, Mekaia decided to wake us up at 2:45. I was up with him for an hour before he decided to go back to sleep. But I REFUSE to start feeding him at night again. Then he only slept an hour before waking and crying again. Not to mention waking Lesina up as well. So, safe to say that I've had only one hour of sleep since 2:45 this morning. And my toddler's been up since 4:45 am. Nice. And that, my friends, is why I am glad I went to bed at 9:00 last night. At least I didn't get called to sub this morning! One class out there should be breathing a sigh of relief that they didn't get this cranky teacher today!

that sounds NOT SO LOVELY. i do hope the trick'o'treaters leave your doorbell alone tonight so that kids can sleep and make up for lost time.
